Mark Sanders at RS&A initiated the project by inviting four artists: Jake Chapman, Paul McCarthy, George Condo and Dinos Chapman to collaborate together on the production of four paintings over a period of six months. And in recognition of the time based nature of the project I proposed to film the entire process, documenting the various stages of development for each of the four canvasses as well as the individual artists in their respective studios.

The project started in March 2006 when four large-scale landscape canvasses and four etching plates were delivered to each artist’s studios. Each artist is given one month to work on the first phase of the project before each painting and etching plate is rotated to the next artist in the sequence.

At Home with the Colonel is finally finished. The pilot episode features British artists Jake and Dinos Chapman. The concept for the program is to produce a series of playful and experimental filmed conversations with artists.

I’ve began co-writting and directing a feature length documentary film about the remaking of Jake and Dinos Chapman’s sculpture ‘Hell’.

Produced and shot a pilot for the first of a series of films about conversations with artists provisionally called “At Home with the Colonel”, featuring artists Jake and Dinos Chapman presented by Mark Sanders

Together with Martin Sheil, we filmed the Michael Clark Dance Company perform at Notre Dame Hall, off Leicester Square. I later edited the event to document his contribution to Fig-1 at the end of a year long series of exhibitions and events.

The dancers were Michael Clark, Richard Court, Lisa Dinnington, Victoria Insole and Lorena Randi

With the help of Martin Sheil, Zeno Salmon, and Dom Brown, I filmed Angus Fairhurst perform “Lowest Epectations” for a one-off live gig at Exeter Phoenix. Guest on guitar on the night was Joe Strummer, Pierre Bismuth and I forget who else. Keith Allen managed to get into a fight with members of the audience. I had my camera smashed and got punched by an enraged bouncer. The band didn’t go down very well, most of the audience walked out, leaving just those intent on causing trouble.
